beautiful veiholmen

You will never forget your visit to Veiholmen. That is a promise!

When you think that you have reached the end of the road at Hopen you have another 9 km to drive on a narrow road meandering between island and ilets into the ocean.

Finally: you reach Veiholmen, a small fishingcommunity with 400 inhabitants lying at the edge of the Norwegian Ocean.

Small white houses, allies and narrow paths, a protected harbour, nice locals and good food: Veiholmen is a special place.

Check out www.opplevsmola.no and www.veiholmen.com
for more information about this lovely place.

We are looking forward to welcoming you!

VEiholmen

Veiholmen is located to the north in the commune of Smøla and some 250 inhabitants have their permanent homes on these road-connected islands.

It is a very popular place during Summer with holidaymakers from Norway and abroad.

This is the perfect destination for those of you who like to enjoy life and nature such as taking part in the many cultural events that are held here , pursue bird- and seaeagle-watching, kayak between thousands of islands and ilets, learn to row a traditional boat, hire a private boat to take you around the archipelago, walk the signed paths around the island or take a guided tour around the village!

You may even decide to do “nothing at all” and still have a great time!

Everybody finds something to enjoy out here on the edge of the Atlantic Ocean!
